Norfolk DA Warns Of Facebook Child Porn Video

Authorities say a child porn video on Facebook has been shared in the area.

Authorities are warning local residents of a child pornography video that has been shared on Facebook.

The Norfolk District Attorney's office says that the video, which includes an adult man with a young child, was reported to State Police in Milton Saturday. The recipient of the video said it was sent to her through the website's messenger service.

District Attorney Michael Morrissey and State Police detectives assigned to his office have joined police nationwide in warning Facebook users about the video, which is being investigated locally and nationally.

"Facebook users need to be aware that the act of sharing that video with anyone other than law enforcement may constitute the crime of dissemination of child pornography and other crimes," The DA'S office said in a release.

If you encounter the video, you should delete the or report the video as inappropriate through Facebook and then delete. Such reports will be transmitted to appropriate law enforcement, according to the DA's office.
