O'Donnell Eighth Grader Selected as Ambassador for State's 351 Project
Project 351 is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization.
Emily Gareri, an eighth-grade student from the O’Donnell Middle School, was chosen to be an ambassador for the 351 Project. In January, she will spend a day at the Massachusetts State House in Boston, along with 350 other eight-grade students, one from every town in Massachusetts. It will be the beginning of a yearlong term of community service, leadership development and enrichment.
A recent press release indicated that six other students were also nominated by their teachers: Tess Billo, Olivia O’Neil, Evan Gibb, Jeni D’Andrea, Bridget Catalano and Nick Szum.
“Project 351 celebrates the power of young people as a force for positive change in their communities and our Commonwealth,” according to the organization’s website.
