"I hope everyone is well! Here are a couple of brief reminders.
Phase One Learning Mode is set to begin next week, after Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Principals will be sending out more detailed information today, but I wanted to clarify a couple of things.
Find out what's happening in Stoughtonfor free with the latest updates from Patch.
- Cohort A will be in person on Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 19 and 20, to start. Cohort B will be in person that Thursday and Friday. Please see the chart below. We will send out reminders before Wednesdays so everyone is aware of which Cohort is expected in person.
- If you are not sure which Cohort your student is in, please reach out to your school office. (The first wave of Cohort C students have been contacted by building principals.)
- Preschool is planning to begin their expanded schedule next week as well.
- Please be aware that bus transportation is only for students in the in-person Cohort for that day.
- Virtual learning options will be available through at least April vacation.

Safety continues to remain our number one priority. While Stoughton is in the red and rates have risen, we also continue to work with DPH and DESE, and monitor health metrics and any and all cases among our students and staff. With the many precautions we have in place, the data shows that our schools continue to remain safe places to be. I am grateful for our dedicated principals, teachers and staff, and our fantastic nursing team, who are working hard to ensure everyone is safe and keep learning alive both in school and at home. Thank you as well for continuing to do your part by remaining vigilant with wearing face masks, social distancing, and following safety protocols.
As always, if you have any questions, please reach out to your building principals.
Have a great week everyone!"
Dr. Marcus, Superintendent
