Police Log: 'Mini Twister' Reported at Wheeler Circle Complex
The following information was provided by the Stoughton Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Friday, Aug. 8
At 10:01 a.m., officers arrested Adilson PIres, 21, of Brockton on a warrant.
At 10:08 a.m., police received a report of a man walking up the roadway of Holmes Avenue possibly trying to open the door of a home in the area. Officers responded but were unable to locate the person.

At 11:47 a.m., police issued a summons to a Stoughton woman for larceny of less than $250.
At 12:45 p.m., police received a report of a wallet being stolen at LA Fitness on Hawes Way.

At 1:32 p.m., police pulled a vehicle over on Park Street and issued a summons to a 24-year-old Stoughton man for driving an uninsured motor vehicle and an unregistered motor vehicle and for operating a vehicle without an inspection sticker.
At 8:05 p.m., police received a report of an odor of marijuana smoke coming up into a window on Technology Center Drive; officers responded and checked the area but found no one upon arrival.
At 8:19 p.m., police responded to The Last Shot on Washington Street on a report of an accident, and subsequently issued a summons to a 21-year-old Stoughton man for leaving the scene of property damage.
Saturday, Aug. 9
At 2:42 p.m., an assistant property manager on Wheeler Circle called police to report a “little mini twister” in the pool area of the complex. No damage was reported, but floats were seen blown out of the water and onto nearby roofs, an umbrella was lifted and water was displaced out of the pool.
At 5:45 p.m., a caller reported that a green car pulled up to his home during the nighttime and three girls reportedly stole roses out of his yard, as well as a neighboring yard.
At 9:35 p.m., a caller reported loud music and fireworks at a neighbor’s house on George Drive. Officers responded and advised the individuals on scene.
At 11:30 p.m., officers issued a summons to a Hyde Park resident for trespassing.
Sunday, Aug. 10
At 10:56 a.m., police received a report of a strong odor of gas inside Tedeschi Food Shops on Washington Street.
At 11:07 a.m., police received a report of an open window at Randolph Savings on Pleasant Street.
At 4:21 p.m., a caller reported that a dirt bike had been racing on the street on Station Street. Officers responded but were unable to locate the rider.
At 4:36 p.m., police placed a Stoughton woman into protective custody after receiving a report that she had been intoxicated and arguing with a worker at Stoughton Pizza.
Monday, Aug. 11
At 6:15 a.m., police received a report of a telephone pole that was potentially struck by a motor vehicle on Maple Street. Officers responded and reported that the pole was broken in half but was still upright and supported by wires. National Gird was requested to the scene.
At 8:46 a.m., police issued a summons to an Everett resident for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
At 1:45 p.m., officers arrested Patricia Murray, 23, of Stoughton on a warrant.
At 4:36 p.m., police received a report of a dog in a car with the windows up on IKEA Way. Officers checked the vehicle, and reported that the windows were down and the vehicle was cool.
At 7:30 p.m., police received a report that a woman had been driving on Central Street and was hit in the head with a small rock. Officers checked the area and found nothing out of the ordinary.
Tuesday, Aug. 12
At 1:39 a.m., police received a report from Crime Stoppers that they received an email stating there were two males with guns looking into peep holes in several apartments on Technology Center Drive. Officers determined that the matter was an ongoing issue, checked the building but were unable to locate anyone.
At 7:30 p.m., police responded to Kohl’s on a report of shoplifting. Officers arrested Brittney Dixon, 21, of Randolph, for larceny of more than $250 and conspiracy; Kayla Harris, 20, of Mattapan, for larceny of more than $250, conspiracy and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana; Jerrod Lee, 21, of Dorchester, for larceny of more than $250 and conspiracy; and Kayce Toppin, 21, of Boston, for larceny of less than $250, conspiracy, a warrant and furnishing a false name and Social Security Number.
