Police Log: Vehicle Reported Stolen on Poskus Street

The following information was provided by the Stoughton Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Friday, Sept. 26

At 5:30 a.m., a caller reported to Stoughton Police that her daughter’s vehicle had been stolen sometime between 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25 and 5:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 26 in the area of Poskus Street.

At 5:37 a.m., a caller from Alpha Chemical on Morton Street reported that one of his employees had been jumped in front of an apartment on Morton Square and money was stolen.

At 3:52 p.m., a caller from Super Discount Liquors on Washington Street reported that alcohol bought by an adult at the store was distributed to minors on the side of the business.

At 5:05 p.m., police received a report of an accident near Pine and Pleasant streets, where they subsequently transported to juveniles to Windsor Woods in Canton. One of the juveniles was summonsed for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

At 7:48 p.m., loss prevention at Kohl’s reported that one person in the store was shoplifting. Officers summoned a Canton resident for shoplifting by asportation.

At 7:51 p.m., a caller reported that her neighbor notified her of a rock that had been thrown through her rear window on Pearl Street.

Sunday, Sept. 28

At 12:37 a.m., police pulled a vehicle over near Amelia’s Restaurant on Washington Street, where they summoned a 23-year-old Roslindale man for failing to signal and for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

At 1:57 a.m., police pulled a vehicle over in the area of Park Street and Wentworth Avenue. officers arrested Fabio Aparecido Celestino, 32, of Stoughton, on a warrant and on a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

At 12:59 p.m., the Stoughton Fire Department requested assistance with a car that had been leaking fuel near BJ’s Wholesale Club that was leaking fuel and needing to be towed.

At 8:20 p.m., a caller reported to police that he watched a group of youths in a silver SUV pull up to his home and pour sand into his son’s gas tank.
