Randolph Councilor Allegedly Admitted To Using Meth
James Burgess Jr. was arraigned in Quincy District Court Monday on a charge of possession of a methamphetamine.

RANDOLPH, MA — A longtime Randolph Town Councilor is free after being arrested and charged with possession of a methamphetamine.
James Burgess Jr. pleaded not guilty to the charge during his arraignment in Quincy District Court. He was released on personal recognizance.
Burgess and 33-year-old Scott Donaghue were arrested Tuesday following a joint investigation by local and state police. The councilor allegedly told police that he used an ounce of meth detectives found in his night stand.

Donaghue had no comment while leaving the court room.
