Recalled Selectman Seeks Return To Board

This spring's town election will see a former selectman and anti-recall advocate run against two pro-recall board members.

STOUGHTON, MA — One of the selectmen ousted in December's recall election is seeking a return to the board.

Peter Brown is one of four candidates who will appear on April's Town Election ballot, according to Town Clerk Amy Akell. Brown was voted to the board in 2016 as a write-in candidate, but was removed from office about 20 months after his election victory.

Recall foe Peter Buckley is also on the ballot. Buckley was one of two anti-recall representatives during the SMAC/Stoughton News debate.
