The selectmen voted 5-0 to accept the agreement.

If a casino is built in Brockton, the Town of Stoughton will receive mitigation funds.

Tuesday, the selectmen voted 5-0 to approve the deal, according to the Enterprise. If a casino is constructed at the Brockton Fairgrounds, Stoughton will receive $60,000 if the license is issued and $130,000 a year once the casino opens, with a five percent increase every five years.

If approved, the $650 million casino resort will include a seven-story hotel, 250,000-square-foot gaming hall and event and conference space.
