Snowmobile Crash In NH Injures 2 From Mass.
The victims from Stoughton and Tewksbury were knocked unconscious following the crash. Police said neither were wearing a helmet.
WAKEFIELD, NH — Two people from Massachusetts were injured in a snowmobile crash on a New Hampshire lake.
The crash happened Tuesday on Balch Lake near a boat launch, Wakefield Police told the Associated Press. The victims were identified as Molly Boen, 25, of Stoughton, and James Leavitt, 26, of Tewksbury. Both were knocked unconscious and were taken to the hospital. CPR was started prior to emergency personnel arriving, police said.
According to the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, neither were wearing a helmet. Police told the Associated Press alcohol, speed, and poor weather appear to be factors in the crash.
