Stoughton 2019-20 School Calendar: First Day Of School, Days Off

STOUGHTON, MA — Is summer vacation really almost over? The first bell on the 2019-20 school year rings Sept. 3, and that means parents need to get their calendars in order.

The new school year is a special one for Stoughton because it marks the opening of the new high school. Schools officials cannot wait for the public to see inside the new building, describing it as state of the art. Residents can get their first peek inside at a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:30 a.m., Aug. 26.

"The spaces we designed for education are out of this world," Principal Juliette Miller told Patch after joining her fellow alumni in saying goodbye to the old building one last time. "We will be able to offer expanded programs. The building will take us to the next level."
