Stoughton Author Releasing Second Book In Series

Stoughton's Angela Howes will release "Containment," the second book in her series, "The Cerenia Chronicles."

STOUGHTON, MA — A Stoughton author will release the second novel of her book series next week. "Containment," the next book in Angela Howes' series "The Cerenia Chronicles," hits shelves and online retailers Jan. 12. The series follows Phoebe Ray, a young adult forced down an unwanted path, in a dystopian society where family and career can never coincide.

Howes, who works as a librarian at the Dover Town Library, told Stoughton Wicked Local she's dreamed of being an author since she was a child. At 12, she wrote her first novel, and by 15, she was already pitching her stories to agents.

“I’ve always wanted to see one of my books in print, but it took a long time to build up the nerve,” Howes told Wicked Local. "It’s a scary thing, putting your heart on a page and then handing it over to someone else to scrutinize and dissect. But I eventually reached a point where the dream had grown bigger than the fear, and I knew I had to go for it."
