Stoughton Backs Timilty In State Senate Democratic Primary

NATICK, MA — Incumbent state Sen. Walter Timilty cruised to victory in the Sept. 1 primary in Stoughton, taking nearly 57 percent of the vote in a two-way primary Democratic primary

Stoughton realtor Jarred Rose ran against Timilty in the 2020 primary and received about 43 percent of the vote in his hometown. Stoughton was Rose's best showing amongst the district.

Stoughton resident Tamisha Civil put up an even stronger showing in her hometown, despite losing to the 6th Norfolk District incumbent state Rep. William Galvin statewide. The Stoughton Democrat garnered 1,251 votes compared to Galvin's 1,209.
