Stoughton Chemical Plant Employee Stabs Co-Worker: Police

STOUGHTON, MA — A workplace argument turned violent at a local chemical plant when an employee from Brockton stabbed one of his co-workers, according to police. Ismael Alvenio, 28, was charged with assault and battery and disorderly conduct.

Just before 2 p.m., police were called to Alpha Chemical on Brock Street following reports of a stabbing inside the chemical plant. Police said they found a man suffering from stab wounds. The man was taken to a Boston hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

According to police, Avelino went back to work after stabbing his co-worker. When officers arrested, him they found the box cutter he used to attack the man, police said.
