Stoughton Fire Gets $164,000 In New Gear
The gear was paid for by FEMA's Assistance to Firefighters Grant.

STOUGHTON, MA — The Stoughton Fire Department recently received some new equipment thanks to a federal grant.
Twenty-three new Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), 3 additional spare breathing bottles, 53 face pieces and two Pack-Finders that will assist in locating firefighters in distress were recently delivered to the fire department. The gear was paid for by FEMA's Assistance to Firefighters Grant, according to Fire Chief Michael Laracy.
In total, the new equipment is worth $164,000.

"The equipment is the latest in fire service technology and will add a higher level of protection for our personnel, which ultimately enhances the safety and survival of our residents. We can not thank FEMA enough for this opportunity," Laracy said in a release.
