Stoughton High Basketball Honoring Players Killed In Car Crash
The idea to honor the boys started as a collective idea between players and coaches, athletic director Ryan Donahue said.

STOUGHTON, MA — The high school basketball team's home opener against Archbishop Williams on Friday night will be about a lot more than winning.
The Black Knights plan to honor former teammates David Bell and Nicholas Joyce, who both, along with their friends Eryck Sarblah and Christopher Desir, lost their lives in an East Bridgewater car crash this past May.
The idea to honor the boys started as a collective idea between players and coaches, athletic director Ryan Donahue told Patch.

"The kids are excited for the event, and although it's never easy for the kids who were teammates and good friends, they are excited to honor their legacy," Donahue said.
Bell and Joyce will be honored in a ceremony before the game. Bell's family wrote a letter that will be read to the crowd. Both Bell and Joyce's jerseys will be framed. According to a statement from the Stoughton Public School District, all proceeds from ticket sales will go to a scholarship fund created last spring in honor of the four boys.
