Stoughton Says Yes to New High School

Preliminary results show support for a new high school building.

STOUGHTON, MA - The results are in and Stoughton has said yes to a new high school.

With eight precincts in, preliminary results for the new Stoughton High School vote show a large amount of support for a new building. Unofficially, 3,831 voted to support the project, compared to 1,027 no votes, according to the town clerk's office.

Construction on the new school is scheduled to start in July 2017, with the first phase and opening slated for the 2019-20 school year.
