Stoughton High Track Closed for Resurfacing

The SHS track will be closed from Tuesday, Sept. 6 through Tuesday, Sept. 27—a span of three weeks—while it is resurfaced.

The approved bid—$97,400 from Cape & Island Corporation—came in under the $100,000 spending limit.

The high school track has not been resurfaced since it was originally installed in 1986-1987, Joel Harding, Supervisor of Support Services for the Stoughton Public Schools, said.

He said the resurfaced track will be black, with white and orange lettering.
