Stoughton HS Student Faces Discipline For Drawing Swastika

The incident took place Friday morning, according to school officials.

STOUGHTON, MA — A sophomore at Stoughton High School faces discipline after drawing a swastika on a computer.

Friday morning, the students in a class were making flags as part of a group activity, when one of them drew a swastika on a computer. Another student in the group told the offending student to not do that. The image was deleted and a teacher reported the incident.

“The correction provided by the student’s peer and the swift actions of the teacher and administration demonstrate the ideals we value as a community,” Principal Juliette Miller said. “Offensive hateful images and words will not be tolerated in our community.”
