Stoughton Man Charged With Breaking Into Wellesley DPW
Wire cutters and a tarp partially covering large pieces of cut copper wire were found in the car, according to police.

WELLESLEY, MA — A Stoughton man was arrested after police said he was found trespassing with burglary tools at the Wellesley Department of Public Works.
Shortly before 5 a.m. Dec. 20, a Wellesley public works employee confronted a trespasser and called the police. Officers pulled over Paul Anderson, 53, on Washington Street, who admitted to being near the department of public works, but said he was there to meet with a woman, police said.
Wire cutters and a tarp partly covering large pieces of cut copper wire were found in the car, according to police. When asked about this, Anderson said he found the items on the side of the road and recognized them as being valuable, according to police.

Anderson was taken into custody and charged with breaking and entering, larceny over $1,200, possession of burglary instruments, and trespassing. He was taken to Dedham District Court.
