A Stoughton man faces charges after police learned that he fled a crash in Brockton.

BROCKTON, MA — A Stoughton man faces charges after police learned that he fled a crash in Brockton.

Police tell the Enterprise that an officer noticed a vehicle with an apparently injured driver run a stop sign. When the officer stopped the vehicle, the driver, identified as a 20-year-old from Stoughton, said he might have hit something.

Police later determined that the driver was involved in a hit-and-run at Menlo and First streets. He was issued a summons for failing to stop for a stop sign, leaving the scene of a crash and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
