Stoughton Man Charged With Threatening to Stab Mother
Jason Hammel, 39, was arraigned on multiple charges Monday.

STOUGHTON, MA — A Stoughton man faces charges after allegedly holding his mother hostage early Saturday morning.
Jason Hammel, 39, was charged with armed kidnapping, breaking and entering during the night, armed assault with intent to murder, intimidation of a witness, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, domestic assault and battery, strangulation and a restraining order violation.
The Enterprise reports that the victim on William Kelley Road told police that she had a restraining order against Hammel and he had broken into the home and threaten her with a knife.

Hammel was arraigned Monday and is being held without bail. He is due back in court on March 15.
