Victim of Stoughton Armed Robbery Attempt Sent to Hospital

Police say the victim was attacked in his bedroom and had a long rifle pointed at him.

STOUGHTON, MA — A Stoughton resident was sent to the hospital following a violent break-in on Richard Road.

At 3:43 a.m. Thursday morning, two men with covered faces entered the unlocked home and threatened the residents. Police say the victim was attacked in his bedroom and had a long rifle pointed at him.

Detective Sgt. Robert Welch told the Enterprise that another person checked to see what was going on, but was told to go back to their room.

Police believe the men fled in a vehicle.

No items were reported stolen.
