Stoughton Middle School Chorus Sings To Silver At Competition

What makes the achievement even more amazing is that the group is still fairly new and only practices once a week.

STOUGHTON, MA — The students in O'Donnell Middle School's Honors Chorus sang their way to a silver medal when they competed in the Massachusetts Instrumental & Choral Conductors Association Festival last Saturday at Norwood High School. O'Donnell competed against middle and high school students from Foxborough, Beverley, Medway, and more, but still managed to stand out to the judges.

The chorus impressed the judges with their renditions of "Viva!," "Cross the Wide Missouri," and "Climbin' Up the Mountain.

What makes the achievement even more amazing is that the group is still relatively new, having only existed for two years, group conductors Betty Bauman and Daniel Block said. The group only rehearses once a week.
