Stoughton Native Leads Boston University to Women's Hockey East Title

BU beat BC 4-1 thanks to quality goaltending by Victoria Hanson

A Stoughton native is part of the reason why Boston University walked away with fourth Women’s Hockey East title in a row over the weekend.

Sophomore goalie Victoria Hanson of Stoughton led the Terriers as they beat the Boston College Eagles 4-1 in the finals at the Hyannis Youth and Community Center on Saturday.

Tied at 1-1 going into the third period, Hanson made key saves including one on a breakaway according to the Boston Herald.

The Terriers will now play the University of Wisconsin in the NCAA quarterfinals on March 14 in Madison, Wis.
