STOUGHTON, MA — A man who allegedly robbed a bank while wearing a skeleton mask was taken into custody thanks to the sharp eyes of a Stoughton police officer.

While working a detail on Canton Street, Sergeant Robert Welch noticed Brockton resident Alan Cole drive by in a Nissan Versa. Cole, who also has ties to Stoughton, was wanted for an Oct. 24 masked robbery in Revere. Welch contacted other officers, who arrested Cole without incident.

Last month, Cole allegedly walked into a Revere Citizens Bank in a skeleton mask, black hat, black sweatshirt, and black gloves and demanded money while carrying a handgun, WCVB reported.
