Stoughton Police Log: Assault on a Pregnant Woman, Drugged Driving, and More

August 23

6:17 p.m. - During a traffic stop on Campanelli Park, Helio Bastos, 59, of Stoughton, was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, misuse of an RMV document, and attaching plates to a motor vehicle.

6:36 p.m. - During a traffic stop on Pleasant Street, Devonte Cox, 24, of Randolph, was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle that failed to meet safety standards, and failure to wear a seat belt.

August 24

1:47 p.m. - 27-year-old female from Hollywood, Fla. received a summons on Washington Street for larceny over $250 and uttering a false check.

August 27

1:24 p.m. - Following a car crash near Shell on Washington Street, a 25-year-old from Marshfield, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of drugs and operating recklessly so as to endanger. The charges were continued without a finding in Stoughton District Court.

10:47 a.m. - During a traffic stop on Lincoln Street, a 23-year-old male from Brockton was arrested and charged with domestic assault, assault and battery on a pregnant woman, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and operating with revoked registration.

August 28

6:33 p.m. - Following an incident which involved a person throwing wine in another’s face, police made two arrests at the Stoughton Housing Authority on Capen Street. A 57-year-old female from Plymouth received a summons for assault and battery and a 46-year-old female from Everett received a summons for assault.
