Stoughton Police Log: Larceny, Strangulation, and More

September 23

8:45 p.m. - A caller reported a man in the area near Sullivan Tire near Washington Street who appeared to be heavily intoxicated. The man, Peter Diecidue, 47, of Stoughton, was arrested on a warrant.

11:14 a.m. - During a traffic stop on Water Street near Wyman Street, a 48-year-old man from Brockton received a summons for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, failure to wear a seat belt, and improper operation of a motor vehicle.

4:06 p.m. - A caller on Pemaquid Street told police that a person assaulted her. Noreen Adams, 46, of Stoughton, was arrested and charged with strangulation and suffocation.

5:07 p.m. - An employee at the YMCA on Central Street reported several youths arguing in the front parking lot. After an officer located the group at the corner of Lincoln and Pleasant Streets, a 14-year-old received a summons for larceny from a person.
