Stoughton Police Log: Shoplifting, Drugged Driving, and More

September 22

1:39 a.m.- Michael Carroll, 41, of Walpole, was arrested on Rayburn Road on a warrant.

8:00 a.m. - A caller on Plain Street said a person in a gold Toyota Avalon offered her and her child a ride to school. She declined the ride but is concerned. The caller was advised to get the plate number if the vehicle appears again.

5:52 p.m. - Following a car crash on Central Street near Talbot Street, Jonathan Wood, 31, of East Bridgewater, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of drugs.

9:54 p.m. - A 54-year-old woman from Stoughton on Sumner Street near Bancroft Road was taken into protective custody.

September 23

4:01 p.m. - A 46-year-old man from Stoughton was arrested and charged with violating a protective order.

4:11 p.m. - Jack Carpenter, 25, of Brockton, was arrested at Target on Hawes Way and charged with shoplifting $100 by asportation.
