Stoughton Residents Pay Their Respects to Police Officers

All throughout the state, people have been coming forward to express their support and gratitude to law enforcers after the horrific killings in Dallas, Texas.

The Stoughton Police Department posted this message on Facebook:

"As we join the country in mourning 5 brave Officer's from Dallas, including one that graduated high school in Massachusetts, we have been overwhelmed by the generosity and support from this incredible community. Thank you to everyone who has dropped off cards and letters and treats to our officers over the last 24 hours. We've had officers talk about how many people that have waved and given thumbs up to them as they pass. One officer was given a hug by a stranger with tears in her eyes. Stoughton is a strong, tight knit community and we feel the support from all of you. We are humbled and can only offer a simple thank you."
