I am writing today to inform you that I have been offered and accepted an Assistant Principal position at Hastings Middle School in the Fairhaven Public School District. I have spent the last two years working on my Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Educational Leadership in the hopes of one day being a school administrator, and the opportunity presented itself much sooner than I expected.
The decision to leave Stoughton was incredibly difficult. Over the past seven years I have had the opportunity to build great relationships with students, faculty, and community members. I have been blessed to teach beside all of the faculty, and to work with the students every day. In that time, we have had a lot of fun and made some terrific music. You will always hold a large part of my heart and I will miss you all dearly.

Moving forward, I want to hear great things from Mr. Kearns, Mr. Mange, Ms. Dorgan, and Mrs. Horan about all of the amazing music that you continue to make! I will be stopping by from time to time to see some performances and witness first hand the reasons that make Stoughton one of the best music programs!
I am so impressed with the progress that all of the students have made over the past seven years. I hope that you all have learned from me even a fraction of what I have learned from you.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the opportunity to show you why music is so important in my life, and for the opportunity to make great music.
Sincerely,
Mr. Davey
