The Stoughton High volleyball team came very close to making the postseason, missing by one game.
The Black Knights went into Wednesday match against Fontbonne Academy in a needing a victory. Unfortunately, they dropped a tough 3-2 decision, finishing their season with a 9-11 record.
Starring for Stoughton in a losing effort were; Kayla Motley with 8 kills, 8 blocks, and 13 digs; Meaghan Hill with 10 kills, 19 digs, and 3 aces; and Ashley Medeiros with 15 digs, 11 service points, and 2 aces.
In JV action, Stoughton defeated Fontbonne 2 sets to 0. Ending their season 11-9.
