Street Sign For Carmela Denneno Promises 'Love & A Smile'

STOUGHTON, MA — One of Stoughton's most beloved residents will be remembered with a sign near

On Sept. 5, the selectmen voted to place a sign marking Carmela Denneno Corner in front of Denneno's Pizza in honor of the late owner of the pizza shop. The sign is expected to be completed and installed in October.

Denneno passed away at the age of 86 in July and operated the restaurant for over six decades.

She is survived by her children, Mark D. Denneno and his wife Kathleen of Bridgewater, Robin A. Cedrone and her husband Robert, Steven F. Denneno, David A. Denneno and his wife Mary and Peter J. Denneno and his wife Patrice all of Stoughton, as well as her grandchildren, Richard and Angela Cedrone and Alex, Trent, Victoria, Evan, Emily, Noah and Isabella Denneno. She was the sister of Marie Federico of Pembroke and the late John Nuovo. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, according to her obituary.
