The sample, however, did not detect any fecal contaminants.

STOUGHTON, MA — Residents are asked to use caution following the discovery of Total Coliform and E.Coli in town water.
The town announced Friday that on June 8, their water system was notified that a raw water sample collected on June 7 from the Muddy Pond Well tested positive for the two fecal indicators. The sample, however, did not detect any fecal contaminants.
Currently, corrective actions including boiling water are not necessary at this time, according to a notice from the town.
