The selectmen and school committee both voted to support a proposal for a new high school.

Two more boards have signed off on a plan to build a new high school on Pearl Street.
During a joint meeting with the high school building committee, the selectmen and school committee both voted to endorse option C2A according to the Enterprise.

Selectman Robert Cohn asked if the proposed building could handle an enrollment increase. Carl Franceschi of Drummey Rosane Anderson Architects said that a three-story wing could be added if needed.
Stoughton High School Principal Juliette Miller added that the number of students at the high school could decrease, noting that the current class of sixth graders is smaller.
