WATCH: Stoughton Fire Profiled on FOX 25

STOUGHTON, MA — How well liked are the members of the Stoughton Fire Department? So much that someone in town nominated them to be profiled on FOX 25.

The news station paid a visit to Stoughton for Firehouse Friday, a segment which profiles local fire departments around Boston. In Stoughton, Fire Chief Michael Laracy discussed how the department is involved in more than fire and EMS, noting that his staff is involved in sports and with the seniors

"We're out there in the community doing our part beyond the fire and EMS services," Laracy said.

The chief said he recently helped an elderly resident with smoke detectors, noting that they like to be involved in the community.

"It's meeting the people, working with the contractors so you have a handle of what's being built in town from beginning to completion," Laracy said.
