3 Sudbury Boards Seeking New Members

The positions are on town board that deal with history, housing and sustainability.

SUDBURY, MA — If you have an interest in the environment, housing or local history, there are several volunteer opportunities in town government available.

Sudbury is looking for five volunteers to fill vacancies on the Sudbury Housing Trust board, the new Sudbury Energy and Sustainability Committee and the Sudbury Historical Commission.

The sustainability commission has three vacancies, and the other two boards have one vacancy each.

The sustainability commission will work on a host of environmental issues, but will especially focus on the town's electricity aggregation program. The program allows Sudbury to buy electricity through a broker rather than a utility like Eversource. Aggregation program almost always offer lower rates, and a stronger mix of renewable energy sources.
