3rd Annual Warriors 4 Warriors Patriots 4 Patriots

High school hockey tryouts are underway and the season is near. For neighboring communities Lincoln-Sudbury and Concord Carlisle, the 2014 season kicks off December 13th in a very special way. Both the girls (3PM) and boys (5PM) teams will face off in the the 3rd Annual Warriors 4 Warriors-Patriots 4 Patriots Benefit Hockey Game, a game created in remembrance of Sudbury resident and former LS hockey player Scott Milley, a US Army Ranger who was killed in Afghanistan on November 30, 2010.

The event has become an honored tradition, bringing together both communities, in Scott’s remembrance, and to raise funds to assist disabled and returning service personnel and their families.

Activities include a pre-game Honor Guard at opening ceremonies, performances by the LS & CC chorale groups, a Mite game between the towns Youth Hockey programs, and a Chuck-a-Duck fundraising activity . In addition, there will be raffles for themed gift baskets, silent auction items, and a station where the public can write postcards to soldiers who are currently deployed overseas or recovering at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

Please join the LS & CC communities in making this year’s event the best ever. Help us show our Warrior and Patriot pride by filling the stands at New England Sports Center on December 13th!  Girls play at 3pm followed by the boys at 5pm.
