The LS girls had an explosive start to the beginning of the 2013-2014 swim season, beating Concord- Carlisle 99-82.
Starting off the meet, the girls relay team comprised of Jillian Rastinejad, Mirrah Papovsky, Michela Eckhouse, and Jenny Genovese won the 200 Medley Relay. In a close second place was the other relay team with Bella Borg, Shannon Johnson, Caroline Kenney, and Alexandra Neeser.
Katherine O’Shea dominated the 200 Freestyle taking 1st place. Seniors Emily Huang and Jenny Genovese finished in 4th and 5th both earning valuable points.

Courtney Brown took first in the 200 I.M. and was only four seconds off the girls record in her first swim ever for LS. Eckhouse finished in second place and Caroline Goswami took 4th.
Lexi Barrera tied for 1st place in the 50 Freestyle and Kenney came in 3rd place.

The new addition of divers to the girls team already looks promising. Kim Yang placed 1st. Katie Quirk and Katie Rosseel dove for their first time in a meet and placed 5th and 6th.
In the 100 Butterfly, O’ Shea finished in 1st place and Eckhouse took 2nd.
Caroline Thomas placed 2nd in the 100 Freestyle; Genovese and Huang finished in 3rd and 5th.
The girls swept the 500 Freestyle, with Courtney Brown finished in 1st place. Mirrah Papovsky and Shannon Johnson came up behind taking 2nd and 3rd.
The girls 200 Free Relay of Lexi Barrera, Caroline Goswami, Katherine O’ Shea, and Courtney Brown took charge and placed 1st.
Goswami swam into 1st place in the 100 Backstroke. Jillian Rastinejad and Michelle Iskandar both had good swim placing in 2nd and 4th.
Papovsky finished in 2nd place in the 100 Breaststroke. Johnson also had a good swim finishing in 5th place.
To end the meet the girls relay of Eckhouse, Genovese, O’ Shea, and Brown finsihed 1st in the 400 Free Relay. In 3rd place was the relay team of Caroline Thomas, Claire Sullivan, Mirrah Papovsky, and Marie Nevils.
