Alleged House Burglar Caught Near Sudbury

Edgar Barrera-Herrera, of Clinton, allegedly broke into homes in Concord, Lincoln, and Wayland.

A Clinton man has been charged with breaking into multiple homes in the region.

Edgar Barrera-Herrera was arrested last week. Police said he broke into homes in Concord, Lincoln, and Wayland. He was charged with felony breaking and entering, destruction of property, and receiving stolen property.

On Tuesday, Concord police said they charged Barrera-Herrera with an additional housebreak after analyzing physical evidence.

In a statement, Concord Police Chief Joseph O’Connor said, “This case is an excellent example of strong partnerships that exist among our police departments. I commend the detectives who conducted a thorough investigation which led to the arrest.”

Lincoln Police Chief Kevin Kennedy added, “The cooperation and collaboration between the three police departments was critical in in the process of linking multiple breaks in addition to locating several stolen items.”
