Weather forecast:
1. Sudbury Special Town Meeting Warrant Released (patch.com) — Sudbury residents will gather on May 20 for a Special Town Meeting to vote on four citizen-driven articles at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School. Voters will weigh symbolic positions on a state Bottle Bill update and a legislative audit, plus a proposed recall mechanism for local officials and a no-confidence vote targeting the Sudbury School Committee. The outcomes could reshape local political dynamics and signal Sudbury’s stance on statewide transparency and accountability issues.
2. Sudbury Awarded State Fire Safety Grants For Schools, Seniors (patch.com) — Sudbury has received more than $8,900 in state SAFE and Senior SAFE grants to fund fire safety education for local students and older residents. The funding is higher than last year’s allocation.
3. Global Parking Solutions Provider Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy (whatnow.com) — A Sudbury-based parking technology firm, Q-Free TCS (TCS International), has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in Delaware while planning to keep operations running. 4.
