State Sen. Jamie Eldridge provided $50,000 to support MassEnergize and seven communities in his district with clean-energy outreach and decarbonization work, the town said.

The program connects residents with information about heat pumps, rooftop solar and community solar. Residents can also ask questions of community coaches, look for rebates and tax credits, read testimonials from neighbors and find installers or vendors, according to the town.

The plugIN program includes local leaders in Acton, Ashland, Framingham, Natick, Sudbury, Wayland and Westborough. MassEnergize says its PlugIn for Resilience program was launched in 2023 to help MetroWest communities share resources, coordinate outreach, and host joint events focused on residential electrification and clean energy adoption.

Sudbury residents can get personalized assistance through .

The campaign is also hosting an online event, “From Gas Pumps to Charging Stations: Electric Vehicle Basics for Everyday Drivers,” from 7 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
