First Lt. Nick Rahall Returns Home to Sudbury Today

First Lt. Nick Rahall, USMC, is a 2005 graduate of Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School. In 2009, he graduated from the United State Naval Academy, and was commissioned a second lieutenant in the United State Marine Corps. 

He is scheduled to return to the United States today after serving as a NATO counterinsurgency instructor in Afghanistan. While deployed, Rahall was awarded the Joint Service Achievement Medal, I.S.A.F. Service Award and the Afghanistan Campaign Medal.  

Rahall is presently stationed at Camp Le June North Carolina. He is the son of Debbie Poirier and step son of David Poirier of Sudbury. He is the son of Bill Rahall and stepson of Suzanne Rahall of Townsend.
