Annual Holiday Open House at the Hosmer House is a 'Painter's Palette'

Enjoy the decorated rooms, holiday trees, refreshments and unique gifts for sale.

SUDBURY, MA — Celebrate the holidays with your neighbors. While there is no tree lighting in Sudbury, the annual open house weekends are coming up at the Hosmer House on Dec. 3 and 4, and Dec. 10 and 11.

This year’s theme of “A Painter’s Palette” honors the noted artist Florence Hosmer, who lived in the house from 1896 until her passing in 1978.

Numerous Sudbury clubs and nonprofits have accepted the challenge to interpret a specific room’s paintings with their festive decorating ideas, said the announcement.
