- In His Own Words: As a runner, the excitement of crossing the finish line of what is arguably the most prestigious road race in the world, the Boston Marathon, is indescribable. But that excitement pales in comparison to the importance of my run this year. For me, it’s the cause that I’m running for that really counts. I’m proud to be running the Boston Marathon for such a great nonprofit organization as Christopher’s Haven, doing everything I can to help kids — and their families — who are fighting cancer. Mile after mile, that’s what I’m thinking about during my marathon training runs. And that’s what will get me across the finish line on April 15, 2013.
