In his own words: I'm running the marathon this year as part of the Mass General Hospital team. This will be my second marathon, the first raised money for Dana Farber. I'm connected to the efforts Mass General through family loss and military experience. I've had two close family members treated there for serious illnesses and I also run in the Run to Home Base race with the Red Sox which is also sponsored by Mass General for traumatic brain injury research.
