1. Obstacle Course

Supplies Needed: Cone to mark the beginning, Hula hoop, Frisbee
Start at the cone. Do 15 jumping jacks. Run to the hula hoop and hula for 10 seconds. Do 3 somersaults to the Frisbee. Pick up the Frisbee and throw it as far as you can. Run to get it and return to the starting line. Repeat and change things up depending upon the supplies and space you have!

2. Sidewalk Chalk
Outdoor Activity
Supplies needed: Chalk
Make a hop-scotch or a big tic-tac-toe board. Write down hints for “I spy”.
3. Your At-Home Pizza Palace
Supplies needed: Pizza dough, mozzarella cheese, tomato sauce, flour, cookie cutters, and Italian music in the background.
Give each child a piece of dough and design your own pizza.
4. Nature Scavenger Hunt

Supplies needed: paper and pencil
Search for the following:
- Rock that is shaped like a heart
- Pine cone
- A green leaf
- Flower
- Oak tree
- Squirrel
5. Music Studio
Supplies needed: Microphone (a hairbrush is a great double for a mic), music, dress-up clothes
Create a stage area for your child(ren) and set up the music and microphone.
If they wish, have them dress up. You just may have your own “American Idol” in your home!
6. Woodworking
Some Home Depot stores have woodworking demos for children to participate in. Please check online to inquire about one near you.
Children enjoy staying busy, especially under the supervision of a parent. Their experience will be more memorable, educational and satisfying if you are engaged with them.
