Letter to Editor: Vote CHUCK WOODARD for Selectman

    There’s a very good reason why Bob Stein, a frequent critic of the Selectmen, endorsed Chuck Woodard.  It’s because working together on the Finance Committee, Bob saw Woodard’s leadership, financial acumen and critical decision making ability in action leading to positive results for Sudbury. 

    The reason the pace of Sudbury overrides has slowed in the last few years is because of Woodard’s leadership encouraging town officials to address the budgetary cost of upcoming collective bargaining agreements by providing guidelines for acceptable financial outcomes.  This marked a radical departure from past practice.  So too has been Woodard’s leadership in publicizing and explaining Sudbury’s unfunded retiree healthcare obligations. 

    For the Selectman the important issues are not accounting problems but strategic issues & decisions with significant long-term financial impact.  Woodard’s strong financial management background uniquely qualifies him to meet these challenges.   

    Chuck Woodard is a proven leader with the ability to identify problems, then create prompt effective practical solutions.  This is in stark contrast to the present Selectmen’s “advisory committee approach” that leads to endless discussion and delays. 

    Vote Chuck Woodard for Selectmen, Sudbury’s best choice for 2-year term Selectman.
