My Vote is for Simon

Leonard Simon exemplifies the qualities most needed by our town right now - informed decision making, compassion, humility and and an ability to reach out to all constituencies in town.

I have had the privilege of working with Sudbury’s Military Families over the past few years. Members of our group represent a truly diverse Sudbury, both economically as well as politically. In addition, it includes families from all ranks, from enlisted personnel right up through senior officers. Despite our many and varied points of view, we work together to support each other, no questions asked. I am so honored to be associated with them and enriched and humbled by their service to each other and to our country.

To me, this group represents some of the best of what can Sudbury offer, and makes me enormously proud to live in this town. These are some of the same attributes that I look for in evaluating candidates for office. I look for a person of integrity, intelligence and one who reaches out to a broad cross section of constituents to solicit input on the issues of greatest importance. I also look for a candidate who thoughtfully and independently considers each issue on its own merits, collaborates with others and reaches an informed and considered decision. Finally, I look for a person of humility, a quality in seemingly short supply these days.

Lenard Simon is my clear choice for Selectman. I have known Leonard and his family for over twenty years.  Based on his background and experience, I am certain that he will bring independent and informed decision making, compassion, and will help restore a sense of respect and civility sorely missing from our recent political discourse. I am also certain that he will be able to bridge the gaps across various special interest groups in town to help ensure that all voices are heard, not just the loudest ones. Please join me in supporting Simon for Selectman, and be sure to turn out to vote on June 25th.
