Pure Pest Management® becomes TickEncounter Prevention Partner
Pure Pest Management® increases its efforts to educate Massachusetts about preventing tick bites and tick-borne diseases by partnering with the TickEncounter Resource Center.

Sudbury, Massachusetts - In an effort to engage, educate, and empower residents of Massachusetts to take appropriate actions to prevent tick bites and the often-serious diseases ticks transmit, Pure Pest Management® of Sudbury has partnered with The TickEncounter Resource Center of Rhode Island.
Ticks pose a clear and present threat across Massachusetts, with high concentrations in the South Shore and Cape Cod. Ticks transmit Lyme disease, Babesiosis, Human Granulocytic Anaplasmosis/Ehrlichiosis (HGA), and other blood diseases. The CDC estimates that there were nearly 25,000 cases of Lyme disease in Massachusetts in 2011, with only 10% actually reported.
The TickEncounter Resource Center (TERC), founded by the University of Rhode Island's Center for Vector-Borne Disease, promotes tick-bite protection and tick-borne disease prevention. TERC also provides individuals, organizations, and businesses across the country resources to educate their communities.
Pure Pest Management® provides all-natural property treatments to eradicate adult ticks, nymphs, and eggs on properties across Massachusetts including Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard. By becoming a TickEncounter Prevention Partner (TEPP), the Pure® team will have access to the TERC network of resources, expertise, and a partner in solving the tick problem plaguing the state. Pure® is committed to improving the health of the communities and the people it serves.
