Clary Gold Medal Leads L-S Girls Track Team at East Coast Champion Invitational

The Lincoln-Sudbury girls indoor track team took a small group of athletes to Providence, R.I., to compete in the East Coast Champion Invitational meet on Saturday as they prepare for the championship portion of their season in the coming weeks.

Despite missing a several top-performers due to sickness and minor injury the Lady Warriors placed several individuals and one relay on the podium.

Sydney Clary continued her amazing season and led the team by winning a gold medal in the 1 mile with a personal best time of 5:12.90. In the high jump, Lucy Alexander finished 2^nd and continued to shine with a jump of 5 feet 6 inches equaling her all-time best.  Kristin Kimble finished 8th equaling her best with a jump of 5 feet. In the 400 meter dash, Brianna Bisson led a trio of LS girls in the 800m placing 3rd followed by Morgane Butler (5^th) and Ariel Keklak (6^th)

Freshman Katherine Malone was the top finisher for LS in the 400m (11^th) and the 4 x 400m relay team of Dory Lustig, Morgane Butler, Sydney Clary and Brianna Bisson placed 3rd overall with a time of 4:25.33. 

The team now has two weeks to prepare for the final regular season meet of the season vs Waltham on Feb. 1 and the Dual County League Championships - Feb 9^th at the Reggie Lewis Center in Roxbury.
